Out of the mouth of babes
Me: I love you, muffin.
Briar: I love you big muffin mama.
Only a toddler could make 'big muffin mama' into an acceptable endearment.

The Wink is a labor of love, occasional source of ire and constantly influenced by the toddlywinks in my life- my daughters. There's also the HunkyWink. You'll read all about them as The Wink unfolds. Please feel free to wink back!

Absolutely true! Babies (that includes toddlers) are the best. Nothing sweeter than being loved by one, so honest and vulnerable.

That is adorable.
I used to tell Little A I loved her "big fat belly" (it wasn't fat at all, but she had no fat on her whatsoever, so it worked for me)
Now when I'm getting out of the shower, or we're laying around, she wants to grab my belly and say, "Big fat belly"
Next line she's learning: "Nice tight butt"

And no one else BUT a lovely toddler could use the word "big" to describe me either without making me very, very upset. Coming from them, it's a compliment.
