Fear can be a good thing.

Any ideas on how to get a toddler to feel it every once in a while?

So help me she's trying to break the other leg.

I was thinking that as I was scrolling down.... she's going to break an arm this time! I'd say just make her wear a helmet until she's 13. ;)

I too have a fearless daughter. She's 6 now and still no sign of fear (except thunder storms).

So, basically I'm trying to say no, I have no idea how to get a kid to feel fear once in a while.

Scary yes, but in the long run it just may be a good thing. Fear won't stop her from trying new things and that can be such an advantage. Go Avery! But don't give your mama a heart attack. :)

Mine is afraid of thunder storms. And mosquitos. I will send her over, post haste.

They sure have no fear! While we have lots of it!!

Sorry, I have no idea. I think we need ideas on how to tame our fears! :) Because nothing is going to stop them.

The only time my children feel fear is when I threaten to take away one of their toys.

I was really hoping that one of these comments would contain the perfect way. I'm struggling with my no-fear toddler. He went head-first down the big slide today -- landed face-first on the dirt. Didn't even stop to brush the dirt off before scrambling back up the slide.

Um...my sister in law actually did suggest that I get a big honking helmet for him. I laughed. She was serious. I still laughed.

Ack. I watched mine scramble around in a stream yesterday, thinking she was going to break something and that I was then going to break something when I had to rescue her. Luckily, she was sure-footed, but argh.
